The year has started off with a bang for us.
We were able to get Willow into the BIG shows
out at Indio California. I've heard they are
the largest in the Nation (wow!) and it so
happened that the Ridgeback entry was the
biggest breed entry there those four days.
Willow did absoulutely fabulous for a one year
old at her first show. Not only did she place in
the ribbons in her 12-18 month Sweeps class
in the SDRRC and the Hound shows but she came
away with Reserve Winners bitch from the AmBred
class under judge Grant Winchell!
Her brother didn't just sit around either......
he did nicely under both the breeder judges in
Sweeps 12-18. Respected breeder, Mr. Scott
Price awarded Bodie Best Opposite in Sweeps at
the SDRRC show. Thank you Scott!
We have big plans for the next couple months.
Devin will continue to work on her agility and
her lure coursing milestones prior to her next
planned breeding this Spring.
Bodie is going to try his hand at a new venue
in conformation with the United Kennel Club.
He is also in the process of learning his Rally
exercises in hopes that he can collect a title
in Novice this month.
If all goes as planned, I'll be taking two of
Devin's pups (Bodie & Willow) up to Canada for
the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of BC Specialty in
April. This is just prior to our local OCRRC
Specialty here in Silverado California.
