In the early 1980's, I trained dogs and provided this service professionally.  I worked with
and evaluated many breeds over the years.  I eventually gave up this
profession for one with a more beneficial retirement plan.  However, I
refused to give up my involvement with dogs.

I shifted my focus to the
American Kennel Club show arena where I discovered the Rhodesian Ridgeback. 
It was love at first sight!  The year was 1987 and this breed has not since
left my heart or home.

The Ridgeback is a sturdy dog possessing beauty, sound body, intelligence,
and a natural athletic ability.  At PVRR, we believe all of these qualities
will produce a versatile, balance dog.
